The best sales job in Cancun

The best sales job in Cancun

If you read our most recent articles, you can find enough information that justify the reasons why you should choose the city of Cancun as your next best option to live. As you can read in these articles, the benefits are many, both personal and work related, however, in this particular blog I want to talk to you about the best sales job in Cancun, but before I start, I would like to give you a little theoretical introduction about the vacation club or timeshare modality. First, I would like you to respond to me throughout this reading, as honestly as possible, in case you know the answer to any of these questions.

1. How Timeshares and Vacation Clubs Work?

Timeshares

A timeshare is a single property you visit year after year. You purchase a time-sharing agreement, and then pay maintenance fees. After all that, you own the right to vacation at the property during preset times, usually a week or two each year.

Vacation Clubs

A members club is a type of timeshare. Instead of paying to use a single property, as in a traditional timeshare, you get access to multiple properties in multiple locations. Having these concepts clear, we can now talk about what a liner and a front to back do, but more specifically how we do it at TAFER.

2. Timeshares vs. Hotel

Timeshare and vacation clubs suites are much like residences since they have kitchens, bedrooms, and living rooms. Staying in a timeshare is more like staying in a vacation home or apartment rather than staying in just a hotel. As you can see, the offerings at timeshare resorts are far more extensive than your average hotel. Did you know the average timeshare unit is 3x larger than a hotel room? Plus, you receive more than just a microwave. In addition, you can pack lighter and use the in-room laundry to freshen up your favorite vacation outfits. This is especially helpful for large families or families with children because you can pack less.

Not to mention, resorts like Garza Blanca Cancun, in México have large swimming pools, scheduled kids' activities, and more. Imagine game nights, karaoke, and outdoor movies all on the same resort. Timeshare resorts offer the chance to experience an incredible vacation without having to leave the front gate. If you do, however, love theme parks and want to venture out, there are options like Disney Vacation Club that allow you to stay inside the theme parks. There truly is a timeshare perfect for everyone’s preferences. The major flexibility is just one of many reasons why people still buy timeshares.

3. What Is a Sales Representative?

A sales rep interacts directly with customers throughout all phases of the sales process. They are responsible for identifying a customer’s needs, pitching relevant products or services, and ensuring they have a positive experience from start to finish. In some cases, a sales agent will call prospects they find through business directories or client referrals. Other times, “warm” leads that have already expressed interest will be sent to them by their company’s marketing team. Being successful requires a mix of both building and maintaining customer relationships and consistently seeking new business opportunities.

A sales representative is typically expected to reach a particular sales quota each month. And as we just mentioned, the level of income you make in this career largely depends on your abilities and work performance. If you’re the type of person that wants to “control your own destiny” rather than working for a traditional salary, this is a career to consider.

4. What profile should a sales representative have?

According to “Western Governors University”:

• Strong interpersonal skills: Sales reps need a mix of both verbal communication and listening skills and have the ability to articulate how a product or service works to leads.

• Critical thinking skills: They must be able to diagnose a prospect’s problems and quickly come up with relevant solutions for the right price.

• Presentation skills: Product or service demos are often an integral part of this position, and reps must be able to concisely explain the core features and benefits to prospects.

• Negotiation: Sales representatives constantly face objections and concerns from leads and must be well adept at negotiating deals.

• Relationship management: They must also be skilled at building, nurturing, and in some cases, sustaining long-term relationships to ensure a positive customer experience.

5. What do our sales representatives do at TAFER?

TAFER is a company committed to providing the highest quality in our services and our products, which seeks to give the best attention and customer service to all our guests and all our partners, this of course we leave it in the hands of our entire team, who are responsible for making your experience in our second home is as great as it promises.

Our sales representatives have some specific tasks which I have listed below;

• Property Tour: Our sales representatives accompany our couples to visit our 5 diamond property in Cancun, Quintana Roo, our facilities are spectacular and our guests are always amazed, we also invite them to visit our wonderful Roof top and our luxurious rooms, in which they could be staying next year if they decide to purchase a membership with us.

• Breakfast with sea view: After visiting our facilities, you will enjoy a delicious breakfast / buffet with a breathtaking view of the sea, if you have never been to the Caribbean before, you will enjoy this experience to the fullest by having in front of you the different shades of blue that our sea has. Not only will you taste typical food of our country with quality ingredients and flavour, but you will also enjoy the wonderful sunny weather that Cancun offers practically all year round.

• Sales presentation: Once the tour and breakfast are over, the presentation we have invited you to begins, now that you know our facilities and lived the 5 diamond experience, it is time to choose the membership that best suits your needs and of course possibilities. Many people talk about how having a vacation club membership can be a luxury that not everyone can afford, but that should not be a concern for you, we want many more people to be part of the TAFER family and we will find a cost that suits you as much as possible.

6. Do you receive tools and training for this work?

However, in order for our representatives to provide the information you need in a clear and accurate manner, we train them to provide quality service. The training consists of a week of "shadowing", as we call it. You accompany one of your colleagues on a tour so that you can understand the dynamics of the presentation and learn more about our product. Actually, during your whole induction process, you are gradually given important material that you need to learn in order to be able to go out on tour. Once your training week is over, it is time to take flight and start taking individual tours.

7. How much money can you make in this business?

Well, if you are already an experienced salesperson in the industry, and not only in timeshare, but also with experience in the "no base salary, 100% commission" scheme, you should have an idea of how much money you can make doing a job like Front To Back, let alone what a closer or a room manager can make. At TAFER we don't like to give exact amounts, because no two months are ever the same, the amount of money you can make will depend on your sales, communication, persuasion and negotiation skills, plus of course your level of English (if this is not your first language). However, if one thing is certain, it is that in this business you can make enough money in a year to buy a property and pay for it without using credit or loans. Nevertheless, you will not find out until you see for yourself.

8. What are the requirements to become one of our representatives?

To be part of this dream team, it is necessary that you have the complete documentation that we request, in the case of people with foreign nationality, who do not have permits to work in Mexico or who do not have temporary or permanent residence (with permission to work in force) will have to do a series of governmental procedures to obtain these permits, the cost of these procedures are not covered by the company, however we help you during the process of obtaining this documentation. In the case of nationals, the most important documents to consider are the letter of non-criminal record and your "e.firma" and password, which is processed in the institution that goes by the name of "SAT".

In terms of profile, the candidate must be a responsible and committed person, with excellent communication, persuasion and negotiation skills. Our representatives must have basic knowledge of good customer service, as well as a positive and charismatic attitude that pleases customers and can create a close emotional bond, even if they have just met. But one of the most important characteristics that a representative must have is a willingness to learn, to be willing to listen and to proactively put into practice what he or she has been taught is one of the most important characteristics that a representative must have to be able to make a sale.

9. What differentiates us from other companies in the industry?

Described by one of our guests recently:

Garza Blanca Preserve Resort & Spa Puerto Vallarta:

“Recently stayed at Garza Blanca Preserve Resort & Spa and I really enjoyed my experience, so I thought I would write a review, as I personally always check hotel reviews before I book. I hope my experience can help anyone considering staying there in the future. So please enjoy my Garza Blanca guest review! Garza Blanca is south of Puerto Vallarta’s main downtown area. I like the south shore because it’s a little bit in the mountains, and it’s much quieter and more beautiful than staying in the downtown area. When you stay at Garza Blanca, you have the benefit of jungle mountains behind you, fresh tropical landscaping all around you, and ocean views in front of you. It really is one of the most serene places I’ve ever stayed. I took a taxi from the airport. You have to go to the taxi counter and pay. Just tell them where you’re going and they’ll give you a receipt. Give it to the taxi guys outside. They also place your bags in the trunk and retrieve them for you upon arrival at the hotel, which was a nice extra service. The ride was 25 minutes, and the cost was $415 pesos (about $20) plus tip.

When we pulled up to the hotel, the guard at the gate asked for my name and verified my reservation. The doorman greeted me and asked my name again, then took my bags inside. I appreciated these extra levels of security. For safety reasons, Garza Blanca doesn’t allow anyone on the property unless they are staying there or working there. People might not realize that this is the norm for most resorts in Puerto Vallarta, and it’s one of the reasons why Puerto Vallarta is so safe.

If you want to relax, I highly recommend a visit to Spa Imagine, which is actually at the top of the Hotel Mousai tower, Garza Blanca´s sister adults only resort. You can check out their menu of services right on the TV in your room and make an appointment. You can spend an afternoon enjoying their hydrotherapy circuit, which is in one of the most gorgeous rooms I have ever seen in my life, and it faces the ocean with a spectacular view of the whole bay. I recommend scheduling a relaxing massage for after your hydrotherapy. If you do that, you will feel so utterly relaxed you will be ready to slip off into dreamland for one of the best night’s sleep you’ve ever had. This is a way to experience deep relaxation. If I had to mention a highlight of my stay in my Garza Blanca guest review, this was definitely my favorite.

All in all, the experience was great and I would highly recommend staying at only this resort whenever you visit Puerto Vallarta. I hope my Garza Blanca guest review helps influence your decision to stay there.”

Garza Blanca Preserve Resort & Spa Cancun:

We visited Garza Blanca with the family, where absolutely every aspect of the property, the food and services are second to none. Every one of the staff at Garza Blanca and Villa del Palmar go out of their way to resolve any situation or simply make you feel better (I'm serious) than at home. About the food: excellent dishes and creative and original presentation. Without leaving aside the exquisite where the dedication of their chefs is present. It was a reality. In fact it exceeded my expectations in every way. The waste of attention, products and top quality services .... And by this I mean that it is a chain that does not skimp on quality or quantity, everything is given with full hands. The ambience and decoration of the common areas as well as the rooms and suites, takes us to those magazines of high architecture. Already in the rooms and/or suites. The softness of the bed linen, the fluffy towels, all impeccable in terms of cleanliness and care. All the staff were amazing with us but we especially want to acknowledge: Paulino and Hector pool waiters. Mari waitress and Estefania hosts of the Blue and Blanc, Ricardo pool boy. Ulises and Joaquin butlers floor 5, Fernando pool bar, Dania, Aaron and Eliezer from the food truck and Ivan from Dao. Also to Otto and Juan Carlos for leading the team and maintaining all the standards of quality and service to perfection.
